We're hiring a contractor for a 3-month Assistant Accountant role, paying up to $400/day including super. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative financial control team in a large, fast-paced organisation and expand your finance experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Reconcile bank receipts and payments, investigate discrepancies

  • Prepare journals including accruals, prepayments, tax, and other entries

  • Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Assist with monthly regulatory returns including BAS and payroll tax


What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years' experience in finance or accounting within a large organisation

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger processes

  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving

  • Confident communicator who works well independently and in a team

  • Experience with ERP systems and regulatory reporting is a plus

This short-term contract is ideal for someone ready to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
