The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in providing high-quality mechanical drafting support to our Sales and Engineering teams. You'll help bring projects to life with accurate and detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings, contribute to innovative designs, and support our customers and suppliers with technical clarity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and revise technical drawings and 3D models using CAD (e.g., SolidWorks).

  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and sales teams on product designs.

  • Ensure drawings meet relevant Australian standards and industry best practices.

  • Generate and control part numbers, ensuring consistency with BOMs and engineering documentation

  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to clarify technical requirements.

  • Uphold Kinder Australia's reputation through precise, high-quality drafting work.

  • Maintain organised records of engineering files and documentation.

  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture built on shared values.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related qualification.

  • Proficient in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks).

  • Experience creating and interpreting technical drawings and 3D models.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Legal right to work in Australia.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with bulk material handling equipment and Australian standards.

  • Experience within a mechanical drafting or manufacturing environment.
