Occupational Therapist – Make a Meaningful Impact Every Day with Autism Qld.

Commence or continue your Occupational Therapist career with Autism Qld at our brand-new Brightwater school campus 'AQ School Brightwater' which opened Term 1, January 2025 in Mountain Creek, Sunshine Coast.

We welcome applications for full-time or part-time positions working between 3-5 days per week on a fixed term contract from the end of Nov 2025 – late December 2026.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist in our Brightwater School, no two days are the same. You'll work closely with Teachers and small groups of 6–8 children, supporting their development through a variety of engaging and meaningful activities. You could be running small group sessions in a classroom or in the playground, recommending flexible seating options or classroom modifications, working with students to set their own goals or providing information where needed for parents, families and other professionals.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) as a qualified Occupational Therapist.
  • Current open driver's licence.
  • Current, recognized Provide First Aid including Provide CPR qualification.
  • Blue Card (WWCC).
