Due to continued growth within our Assembly division located at Bruce Rock, we have an opportunity for an experienced Assembly Foreperson to manage our team.

This position is/includes:

  • Full-time permanent role.
  • Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) working an 8-days on, 6-days off roster.
  • Accommodation and meals provided.
  • Fortnightly tool allowance.
  • Immediate start.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Lead the Assembly team with trailer fit outs.
  • Providing support to tradespeople, trade assistants and apprentices.
  • Guiding the team to ensure timings are met.
  • Promoting a safe, clean, and hazard free work environment.
  • Prioritising work schedules to meet organisation production targets.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the build and sign off on final quality check.
  • Assemble, service, and repair of road transport equipment to BRE's high quality standards.
  • Assisting the General Manager in mediating any concerns with jobs or staffing.
  • Follow systems and procedures & fill out checklists and paperwork.
  • Practice your duty of care to ensure the health and safety of workers' and other persons in the workplace.

About you:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Supervisor experience required.
  • Must possess an Australian recognised trade certificate.
  • Have a good knowledge and recognition of heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Hold a current LF (forklift) license or willing and able to obtain one.

Desirable:

  • Good sound knowledge of hydraulics and PTO systems used in tippers.
  • Good sound knowledge of AIR braking systems, as well as ABS/EBS.
  • Experience in Heavy Duty Road Transport manufacturing (trucks and trailers).
  • Experience of working with overhead cranes.
  • Hold Dogging License.
