Carlton Dental was founded in 1975, with a central focus on providing the highest level of care to our patients. It is one of the longest established dental clinics in Melbourne, having earned the confidence of long-time patients and winning the trust of new patients with our calm, reassuring atmosphere that starts at our front desk.

Our clinic is based in a central location, conveniently situated next to public transport and Lygon Street. We are a friendly team with long-standing and skilled staff that have been working at Carlton Dental for many years.

Role Overview

The receptionist role requires exceptional organisational skills, excellent customer service and experience in a dental office setting.

  • Greeting, checking in, and building patient rapport.
  • Scheduling coordination of appointment books, managing cancellations, recalls, accounts, rebooking, and follow-up care.
  • Exceed patient expectations in telephone etiquette, communication and answering questions.
  • Commitment for excellent patient care with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent skill in prioritising and multi-tasking a variety of tasks, and willingness to work well as part of a team.
  • Managing lab jobs, such that they are processed and received in a timely manner, and arranging referrals.
  • Treatment coordination with clinicians and patients, using treatment plans and consent discussions.
  • Managing patient records and information into the data system.
  • Assisting with marketing and business development duties.
  • Experience with D4W & Certificate III in Dental Assisting is a plus.
