The Village Cafe in Balwyn North is looking for an experienced barista to join our team. Starting as part time, with the possibility of leading to full time.

We are located in Balwyn North, right on the tram line. So easy if you need to catch public transport.

Your Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and other hot beverages

Ensure the highest quality of coffee by properly calibrating equipment, monitoring brewing temperatures, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards

Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations based on their preferences

Operate POS and handle transactions efficiently and accurately

Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and monitoring stock levels

Uphold the cafe's brand standards and contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers

What you will need to succeed in this position:

Minimum 2 years similar experience in a similar position at a service-driven food and beverage business

Outstanding barista skills and a great coffee knowledge

Ability to work solo and in tandem

Strong communication and organizational skills

A passion for all things food, coffee and service

Weekend and Public holiday availability
