Production Worker

With growth within our Frenchs Forest butter factory, we are looking for a Packing Team Assistant to help run the packaging room and storage of our butter and dairy products.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the correct setup and operation of equipment and overseeing the packaging process with safety and quality as your number one priority. As a reliable, flexible, team player you will ensure our small site is delivering product safely, of the highest quality, with minimal waste, and in the correct quantity. This is a physical job, so the ability to stand all day and lift heavy boxes is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up the machinery as per the production plan.

• Safe operation of the packaging line and equipment.

• Movement of packed stock from production room to the cool room.

• Identify and report hazards, near misses, and incidents.

• Confirm packaging materials are to specification before use.

• Confirm the finished product is packed within specification.

• Reading and recording batch information.

• General cleaning of the site and equipment.

• Minimise wastage including product, ingredients, packaging, process inputs, time and chemicals.
  

What You'll Bring:

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with Dairy experience highly regarded.

• Strong understanding of packing line operations and food safety standards

• A current forklift license (desired but not essential)

• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Great communication and interpersonal abilities

• A hands-on, can-do attitude with a proactive problem-solving skills
