ALTA Scaffolding is family-owned and operated scaffolding company, supplying residential, commercial and government clients across the Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Central Coast, and Port Stephens regions.

Who we are looking for:

We're expanding our professional family and invite experienced scaffolders and construction experienced labourers to apply. We are not looking for advanced scaffolders. We are looking for professionals who have a solid work ethic, are diligent with safe practices, know how to conduct themselves onsite respectfully and work as a team with one another.

Experienced Scaffolders:

• Hold an OHS White Card, and Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced scaffolder qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years experience in residential and/or commercial scaffolding required. Less than 2 years experience are still encouraged to apply but mature experience may take precedence.
• Preference given to those with 4 or more years in the industry.

In this role, your responsibilities will span the full spectrum of scaffolding duties.

• Planning and executing tasks in alignment with current Australian Standards and specific project requirements,
• Upholding construction standards to high safety regulations.
• Representing ALTA to a high standard and displaying respect to other team members, clients and the public.
• Provide guidance to our labourers and up-and-coming scaffolders as needed.

Site Ready Labourers:

• Must possess an OHS white card.
• Must possess a current Drivers Licence.
• Capacity to drive a light truck will be preferred, but not essential.
• A minimum of 12 months' experience within the construction industry, of any trade/service.
• Solid understanding of basic construction site etiquette and safety standards

Your journey with us will start at our Kurri Kurri Operations yard, where you'll learn the fundamentals of scaffolding.

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Develop a strong understanding of scaffolding components, sizes and use cases.
• Correct practice of material stacking and handling.

Your responsibilities will soon expand to working on-site. On-site duties include:

• Assisting with the erection and dismantling of scaffolding.
• Standard procedures for preparing and transporting scaffolding to and from sites.
• Loading/unloading scaffold materials.
• Actively honing and improving your skill set alongside our experienced crew of scaffolders and management team.
