About the role

J&G Maintenance Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Tradesperson/Labourer to join our team in Robinvale, VIC. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for providing general support and assisting skilled tradespeople with a variety of maintenance and construction tasks. We can also offer apprenticeships for the right candidates

What you'll be doing

  • Assist skilled tradespeople with a range of maintenance and construction tasks
  • Perform manual labour duties such as digging, lifting, carrying and moving materials
  • Installing/Rebuilding River pumps and dam pumps
  • Rebuilding/Installing electric motors
  • Laser alignments
  • Operate and maintain basic tools and equipment
  • Clean and tidy work sites to ensure a safe and organised environment
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by your supervisors

What we're looking for

  • Basic experience in a labouring or construction role
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Current driver's licence
  • Welding/Fabrication experience will be an advantage but not essential
