About the role

We are currently looking for a Graduate Occupational Hygienist to join our friendly Sydney team to provide support and help the company grow. You will be working with Senior Occupational Hygienists and other team members as well as independently across various projects. The role will be comprised of the following works:

  • Microbiological assessments;
  • Asbestos assessments and monitoring;
  • Hazardous materials surveys;
  • Clandestine drug lab assessments;
  • Indoor/outdoor air quality assessments;
  • Noise & Vibration monitoring;
  • Respiratory fit testing;
  • Chemical risk assessments;
  • Fire assessments;
  • WHS inspections;
  • Environmental assessments;
  • Liaise with clients and provide advice; and
  • Technical report writing.
To be considered for the role the ideal candidate will have
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in occupational hygiene, environmental consulting, or an equivalent relevant field;
  • Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) to communicate issues clearly and concisely;
  • Advanced scientific and technical report writing;
  • Ability to build working relationships with staff and clients;
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently;
  • A 'can do' attitude with awareness and ability to learn and interpret current legislation and guidelines;
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Willingness and able to undertake fieldworks be it local, regional, or interstate;
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours when required;
  • Computer literacy with all Microsoft programs;
  • Driving license; and
  • Be an Australian citizen or hold a valid working visa for Australia.
