Acacia Systems is a leading Australian defence sector software and systems engineering company in Adelaide with a reputation for delivering robust, technically challenging solutions, working with Australian and international customers in both the surveillance and defence arenas.

About you:

We are seeking people who have a keen desire to work on technically challenging software projects within a mid-sized and supportive team of likeminded software engineers. You will appreciate the expressiveness of modern C++ (C++17 or similar) and have a strong familiarity of the Linux development environment. Other key skills and attributes we look for include:

  • Openly collaborates on designs
  • Undertakes peer code reviews
  • Version control (git)
  • Ability to proactively work within large/complex projects
  • Ability to achieve Australia Defence Force security clearance
  • A background in defence-based software development (or similar) would be highly regarded but is not mandatory.
