About the Role

We are currently seeking a hands-on, proactive Part-Time Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance needs across our three Brisbane sites: Archerfield, Rocklea, and Acacia Ridge.

This is a full-time role (times negotiable for the right candidate) and is ideal for someone with practical skills in general maintenance, basic facilities coordination, and contractor liaison. The position is suited to a reliable all-rounder who enjoys varied, physical work and takes pride in keeping work environments safe, clean, and operational.


Key Responsibilities

General Maintenance

  • Perform basic repairs (e.g., light fixture changes, tightening fittings, patching surfaces).
  • Carry out scheduled inspections and minor upkeep of equipment and building infrastructure.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues or hazards reported by staff.

Pest Control Support

  • Inspect and maintain pest control traps and bait stations.
  • Record pest activity in pest control logs.
  • Seal identified gaps, cracks, and potential rodent entry points using appropriate materials (steel wool, sealant, mesh, etc.).
  • Collaborate with external pest control providers and the Trumps Quality Team, reporting findings to management.

Hygiene & Safety Compliance

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of maintenance zones and external areas.
  • Ensure waste areas are clean, secure, and pest-resistant.
  • Support the site team in staying compliant with HACCP standards.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and pest trap checks.
  • Communicate any urgent issues or hazards to the Site Manager immediately.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Basic knowledge of general building maintenance.
  • Good attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and basic power tools.
  • Physically fit; able to lift moderate loads and work in confined spaces if needed.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently across multiple sites.
  • Current driver's licence and reliable transport essential.
