Part-Time Medical Secretary

Location: Bankstown, NSW

Hours: 3 days per week

We are seeking a professional and friendly Medical Secretary to join our team in Bankstown. This part-time role (3 days per week) is ideal for someone who is organised, patient-focused, and experienced in supporting a busy medical practice.

Key Responsibilities


• Answer incoming calls and manage patient inquiries in a courteous and professional manner


• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments


• Greet patients and manage billing and payments at reception


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation


• Assist with the coordination of surgical procedures and liaise with hospital staff when required


• Support general administrative duties, including processing payments, and keeping the office organised


• Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times and adhere to healthcare regulations and privacy standards

About You


• Previous experience as a medical secretary or in a similar healthcare administrative role is preferred


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and professional manner


• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail


• Proficient in medical software, electronic medical records, and general office applications


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment


• A genuine interest in providing quality patient care and supporting a positive clinical experience
