Casual Position

Commencing Term 1, 2026

The Geelong College is seeking a sessional Instrumental Music Instructor to teach Cello.

This casual, sessional position will commence Term 1, 2026, and involve teaching approximately 8 hours per week.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Excellent performance skills developed through training and practical experience
  • Experienced and inspiring instructor familiar with the AMEB syllabus and VCE courses of study
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of sequential learning
  • Ability to relate well to students from beginner to VCE, and students of all abilities
  • Ability to work in a team and approach work with flexibility and professionalism
  • Proven organisational skills, including appropriate record keeping and assessment
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC), or ability to obtain
  • Evidence of Right to Work in Australia
  • Completion of Asthma for Schools Certificate (free course)
