The Opportunity
This is a varied role that involves operating heavy machinery, safely handling materials and working in a team environment. We're seeking someone who thrives in a busy, outdoor environment and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
About the role
- Operating Heavy Machinery (excavators, forklifts, material handlers etc.)
- Sorting and moving scrap metal
- Supporting site operations, including general yard work
- Assisting customers and providing excellent service
- Working safely and efficiently in a high-traffic yard environment
About You

To be successful, you'll need:
- Current Forklift Licence
- Proven experience in scrap metal recycling or metal yards
- Experience with operating excavators and forklifts
- Strong focus on safety and awareness in busy work areas
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and readiness for hands-on work
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
Highly Regarded but Not Essential:
- Truck license (HR/HC)
- Welding or cutting experience
- Spray painting or other trade-based skills
