Your New Role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Rostering Officer to support the Internal Medicine Service Line at Logan Hospital. In this key role, you will ensure efficient roster management and provide essential workforce support to our medical staff. You will:
- Coordinate, maintain and monitor medical staff rosters, including on-call and after-hours arrangements.
- Provide authoritative advice on rostering, payroll, entitlements, and award conditions.
- Liaise with Clinical Directors and staff to resolve workforce issues and support operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, data validation, and compliance with industrial policies and legislative requirements.

- Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, rostering systems, payroll processes and industrial awards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve roster and workforce issues.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with staff at all levels with discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands, and adapt to changing needs while supporting the wider team.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion .
