Electrical Safety & Compliance Specialist
Location: Bentley, Perth | Travel to regional WA as required

Joining our team means you'll be part of something that really matters. Horizon Power is seeking an Electricity Systems Specialist for a newly created role. You'll craft essential documentation, embed critical electricity and safety standards into contractor processes, and collaborate on assurance tools that ensure controls are working as intended.
Your role will include:
- Provide technical advice and assurance across electrical systems, compliance frameworks and permitting processes.
- Support the identification and assessment of electrical hazards and emerging risks, ensuring appropriate controls and risk mitigation strategies are in place.
- Lead critical investigations into electrical safety issues and ensure swift, effective resolution.
- Independently assess compliance through targeted audits and risk evaluations.
- Strengthen safety assurance by identifying gaps and driving improvements in electrical performance.
- Audit safety systems to confirm control integrity and operational reliability.
You will have:
- Trade qualifications (Certificate III in ES Distribution Overhead, Cable Joining or Transmission Overhead). Or equivalent trade based experience.
- Expertise in assurance programs, risk frameworks, and safety investigations.
- Strong background in electrical safety governance, compliance or risk management within a utility, or high risk industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop electrical safety rules based frameworks and assurance tools.
- A technical minded, detail driven approach with strengths ideally in auditing and assurance.
- The ability to work confidently in complex environments and provide clear advice on ambiguous or high risk issues.
