We are currently looking for an SAP Finance Consultant to join the SAP Practice in Melbourne, other locations considered.  This role will be focused on delivering Application Management Services (AMS) support across multiple clients in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO). You will support business-critical financial operations while driving continuous system optimization, documentation integrity, and improved end‑user satisfaction. You will need hands-on experience and be comfortable in navigating and working independently in supporting each client's unique SAP environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide day-to-day functional support for SAP FI/CO module with a strong customer-service focus
  • Ability to work across multiple clients simultaneously, balancing SLAs, priorities and system differences for each client
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in assessing business processes, troubleshooting system issues, resolution of incidents and service requests, assisting users and proposing effective solutions
  • Participate in root cause analysis for recurring issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations and support processes and ensure adherence to change governance
  • Conduct testing, including unit and integration, with full documentation and traceability
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams and vendor teams to ensure cohesive solution delivery
  • Provide support on other clients as needed and participate in cross-training to strengthen overall team capability and flexibility

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Information Technology
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in SAP Financial Management, with a minimum of 1+ years in dedicated support or AMS role
  • Strong understanding of finance and controlling processes and how they map into SAP FI/CO modules.
  • Functional knowledge in SAP FI/CO – including GL, AP, AR, Bank Accounting, Asset Accounting, Cost Centre, Profit Centre – for configuration and support tasks
  • Understanding of Product Costing and Profitability Analysis
