The Role

Are you enthusiastic about shaping the future through hands-on learning.  Do you thrive in a workshop environment and love inspiring students to create, build and innovate?  This is a permanent part-time position (0.2 to 0.4 FTE) to commence in January 2026.

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Design and Technolgies Teacher to join our learning community.  The ideal candidate will have expertise in woodwork and metalwork and a commitment to fostering creativity and practical skills for students.  If you are ready to inspire and be inspired, we invite you to apply and Create YOUR Impact.

What you bring to the role

  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in woodwork and metalwork at a secondary level
  • Create a safe, inclusive and inspiring workshop environment
  • Guide students through design thinking, prototyping and fabrication processes
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curriculum and projects
  • Support students in developing technical skills and confidence in using tools and machinery
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and workshop management
