Microsoft Master Trainer

About the Position:

Working with Microsoft Consumer Sales Organisation (CSO), this position involves developing and delivering training content both live and on social platforms. The role requires working alongside Master Trainers and Editors to create materials that support Microsoft's sales objectives and assist users in utilising products such as Microsoft Windows, Surface, 365, and Xbox through major retailers. Strong organisational skills are essential to maintain the Social Schedule and coordinate with in-person events.

Master Strategist: Plan quarterly content to match business priorities at all levels. Coordinate with stakeholders for unified direction, maintain visibility, and adapt and execute plans as required.

Talented Trainer: Everyone in the Master Trainer team must be comfortable delivering training to large groups. The ability to distil complex topics into clear, actionable takeaways is essential. Our retail partners employ professionals responsible for selling everything from pens to gaming laptops, so we must continually adapt our training styles and approaches to suit a wide range of audiences and situations.

Team Player: As subject matter experts for Microsoft, we may be asked to assist in various scenarios, such as producing video content for partner websites, collaborating with global V Teams on significant projects, or providing induction and training for our Field Team. The Master Trainer team regularly supports each other in a dynamic environment where tasks can arise quickly and take priority. The phrase "One Team One Dream" is used as a guiding principle within the group.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Enablement & Training

• Design and deliver engaging training sessions across technical, sales, and product domains.
• Develop onboarding programs to accelerate partner productivity.
• Create and maintain enablement content: sales collateral, playbooks, FAQs, certifications.
• Tailor training materials to regional and audience-specific needs.
• Organise and manage training content within LMS platforms and track engagement analytics.

Content Creation & Social Engagement

• Plan and produce educational and entertaining social content aligned with business priorities.
• Collaborate with editors and trainers to deliver content across platforms YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
• Identify trends and growth opportunities while adhering to brand and social guidelines.
• Present confidently on camera and in live sessions to diverse audiences.

Partner Training Support

• Support execution of partner training programs including incentives, and rewards.
• Support partner portals and ensure seamless access to enablement resources.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure training program alignment and delivery.
• Provide ongoing support to LMS users and resolve issues promptly.

Sales & Marketing Collaboration

• Develop and distribute go-to-market training strategies, messaging, and competitive insights.
• Assist in executing new training campaigns, promotions, and partner-facing events.
• Build and manage quarterly training plans across digital, in-store, and social channels.
• Track training performance

Strategic Planning & Agility

• Plan content and training initiatives quarterly, aligning with local and global priorities.
• Adapt quickly to business changes and ensure plans are fulfilled.
• Lead projects independently with minimal direction and strong organisational planning.
• Build quarterly retailer training plans proposing and optimising plans to the latest marketing initiatives including in online, digital, social, in-store etc.

About You:

To be successful, you will have:

• Proven ability as a video superstar, comfortable using and working in front of a camera to create engaging content.
• Experience working across multiple social platforms and channels.
• Instructional design: Strong design skills to tailor social content to different styles of learning, platform types, and formats.
• Strong business acumen: A solid understanding of different business situations and stakeholders.
• Organisational skills to juggle and prioritise an ever-changing workload.
• Presentation skills: Energetic, charismatic speaker with the ability to be both conversational and informative.
• Coaching & mentoring: Ability to give precise and objective feedback to improve performance and competence; quick thinker and adept at handling objections and challenging questions.
• Initiative and leadership: Able to lead projects independently, with minimal direction and excellent organisational planning skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to see 'the big picture'.
• Passion for soft skills: Ownership of learning and the ability to share and tailor knowledge for different audiences.
• LMS experience; Manage training materials, ensure content is current, and use analytics to track engagement and generate reports. Provide efficient user support to improve the LMS experience.
• Comfortable with nationwide travel to events.
• Preferred Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Proficient in using programs such as Adobe Cloud, Sprinklr, DaVinci Resolve, and LMS.
• Ideally, experience in the consumer electronics retail or PC gaming/console industry.
• Ideally, 3+ years of related partner retail or channel training/field readiness experience.
