Civmec is excited to announce that we have been awarded a new Sodium Cyanide Expansion Project in Kwinana working Monday-Friday. This is a great opportunity for experienced Intermediate and Advanced Riggers to join our team This is your chance to contribute to a major industrial upgrade and work alongside a skilled, high-performing team.
The Role
Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:
- Assist with lift plans and lifting activities
- Align level and anchor machinery
- Maintain and tag rigging gear as required
- Ensure rigging gear is stored correctly
- Assist with setup of cranes ensuring barricading, exclusion zones and signage to comply with site specific requirements
- Attach appropriately rated rigging gear to existing structures to facilitate the movement of loads using chain blocks, pulleys, tirfors and lever hoists
- Maintain and keep tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition. Lock them away or return to store when not required
- Housekeeping
- Perform other general duties as required
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Current High Risk Rigging licence and VOC (RI or RA)
- Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
- Current High Risk elevating work platform license and VOC
- Current Drivers Licence
- Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
- Previous construction experience
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
