Structural & Fabrication Lead

Reporting to the Workshop Manager - you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day lead of a high performing trades team. We are seeking someone who is trade qualified as a Boilermaker, with proven experience as a leader and in Heavy Fabrication.

What you'll be doing:

• Design and Analyse - Overseeing the technical design, quality, and execution of a projects structural elements, as well as managing and mentoring the fabrication team.
• Review and Approval - Reviewing, analysing, and confirming the detailed design and specifications for various structural products is correct prior to processing.
• Problem Solving - Diagnose and resolve complex engineering challenges that may arise during the design or construction phases.
• Project Planning - Develop work plans, and schedules for the structural discipline, and monitoring progress.
• Team Leadership - Supervise, manage, motivate, and mentor a team of Certified welders and fabricators.
• Resource Management - Ensure adequate resources are assigned to projects and managing individual work tasks and progress. Identify and manage technical, commercial, and safety risks on behalf of the client and the company.
• Coordination and Communication - Coordinating activities and information flow with other disciplines and external suppliers.
• Documentation - Preparing and reviewing detailed scopes of work, technical specifications, and project reports such as ITP's, MDR's and other relevant compliance documentation.
