About You:

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the NSW road network.
  • Ability to build strong customer relations and offer a high level of customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills via email and phone.
  • Attention to detail and have a sense of urgency.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within the logistics industry.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office – (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience in LTL and FTL operations
  • Experience within the refrigerated transport sector desired.

About the Role:

  • 1pm – 9pm Mon to Friday, with occasional rostered weekend work.
  • Reporting to the Sydney Operations Manager
  • Actioning emails on the Sydney Operations group email.
  • Completing yard checks and floor stock takes
  • Coordinate and work closely with linehaul teams across all depots nationally.
  • Planning next day pickup and deliveries for both FTL and LTL loads, ensuring all consignments are accounted for.
  • Create weekly rosters by engaging with all drivers in Sydney.
  • Identify daily capacity of drivers and assets and escalate to Sydney Operations Manager when needed (eg – drivers on leave, trailers in workshop etc.)
  • Send drivers their work for the next day, detailing start time, trailer numbers, job details where applicable.
  • Assist in coordinating, allocating and despatching of local and linehaul loads in the afternoon when needed.
  • Ensure all loads are captured recorded through our TMS.
  • Ensure all local manifest for each driver have been created on the TMS
  • Escalate and flag late pick-ups / deliveries with customers via phone and then confirm with emails.
  • Ensure written/verbal hand-over is given to the next shift.
  • Ensuring drivers complete internal paperwork daily as required such as PODS, run sheets, Pre starts.
  • Ensuring drivers demonstrate safe work practices at all times.
