About Us

Staines Memorial College is a co-educational P-12 Christian College in Redbank Plains. We operate under the mission of "Transforming Lives" and the vision of "Building a Community for Eternity." The Role

As a Teacher Aide, you will work closely with classroom teachers to:

  • Support student learning in literacy, numeracy and other key areas.
  • Assist with behavioural and character development.
  • Work with individuals or small groups of students within and outside the classroom.
  • Support students with diverse needs through differentiated instruction and inclusive practices.
  • Help prepare materials and resources to facilitate student engagement.
  • Provide supervision during class, breaks, and other school activities.
  • Integrate Christian faith, learning, and practice in daily interactions with students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
  • Encourage and support students' physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth.
  • Assist in the implementation of adjustments to meet individual learning needs.
  • Communicate student progress and concerns with teaching staff.
  • Promote a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Actively participate in staff devotions, meetings, and professional development.
  • Support the College's vision, mission, and policies, including health and safety requirements.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements
  • Current Positive Notice Blue Card (or eligible to obtain).
  • Certificate III in Education Support, Early Childhood, or willingness to complete.
  • Willingness to commit to the ethos and mission of Staines Memorial College.
  • Agreement with and ability to model the College's Statement of Faith.

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative and success-oriented.
  • Basic computer literacy or willingness to learn.

  • have an appropriate permit to work in Australia
