Perth Glory Football Club is seeking a Physiotherapist to join our high-performance team. This is an incredible opportunity to work on elite athletes of Australian sports, where your expertise will directly impact the health and performance of our players. The successful applicant will be responsible for management of Physiotherapy Services to our A-League Reserves (NPL), under 23s and under 18s players. The role is up to 20 hours per week with training four evenings a week and games on Saturdays.

You will play a critical role in designing and implementing evidence-based rehabilitation programs, driving injury prevention strategies, enhancing the physical resilience of our athletes and be responsible for the overall management of players' physical well-being to ensure optimal performance and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Injury Prevention and Management:


•     Conduct regular assessments to identify injury risks and implement preventive measures.


•     Provide immediate care and treatment for injuries sustained during training and matches.


•     Develop and oversee individualized rehabilitation programs for injured players.


•     Collaborate with coaching staff to ensure injury prevention is integrated into

Rehabilitation:


•     Design and implement tailored  protocols for injured players to ensure a safe return to play.


•     Monitor and adjust rehabilitation programs based on players' progress and feedback.

Communication and Collaboration:


•     Work closely with coaching staff, fitness coaches, and other medical professionals.


•     Communicate effectively with players regarding their treatment plans and progress


•     Maintain accurate and detailed records of all assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation.

Education and Guidance:


•     Educate players on injury prevention, management, and overall physical health.


•     Provide guidance on nutrition, hydration, and recovery  to optimise performance.

Qualifications:


•    A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and a strong background in sports physiotherapy


•     Experience in sports physiotherapy with an understanding of strength and conditioning

Skills:


•     Strong knowledge of injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation techniques.


•     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


•     Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.


•     Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.


•     Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.

Work Environment:


•     Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
