About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Captain Waiter/Waitress to join our team at Kiwami Teppanyaki in our South Yarra, VIC 3141 location. As a part-time role, this is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional to take on a key leadership position and contribute to the exceptional service delivery and customer experience at our renowned establishment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Supervise and coordinate the waiting staff team to ensure efficient and seamless table service
  2. Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and high-quality dining experience
  3. Provide exceptional customer service and handle any customer queries or complaints effectively
  4. Maintain a high level of product knowledge to make informed recommendations to customers
  5. Contribute to the training and development of waiting staff to uphold service standards
  6. Assist with stock management and placement of orders as required
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Senior Waiter/Waitress or similar role in a fine dining or high-end hospitality establishment
  2. Proven track record of leading and motivating a waiting staff team
  3. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide personalized attention to guests
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with kitchen staff and customers
  5. Thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, wine pairings and customer service best practices
  6. Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and late shifts as required
