About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Captain Waiter/Waitress to join our team at Kiwami Teppanyaki in our South Yarra, VIC 3141 location. As a part-time role, this is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional to take on a key leadership position and contribute to the exceptional service delivery and customer experience at our renowned establishment.
What you'll be doing
- Supervise and coordinate the waiting staff team to ensure efficient and seamless table service
- Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and high-quality dining experience
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle any customer queries or complaints effectively
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge to make informed recommendations to customers
- Contribute to the training and development of waiting staff to uphold service standards
- Assist with stock management and placement of orders as required
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Senior Waiter/Waitress or similar role in a fine dining or high-end hospitality establishment
- Proven track record of leading and motivating a waiting staff team
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide personalized attention to guests
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with kitchen staff and customers
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, wine pairings and customer service best practices
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and late shifts as required
