About us:

Saltwater Cafe is a popular spot in the heart of Kiama, known for fresh seafood, breakfast and lunch service, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere. We pride ourselves on delivering quality food and a welcoming experience for both locals and visitors.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Cook / Chef to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain high standards of hygiene, and work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to the menu
  • Assist with daily prep and mise en place
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Experience with breakfast and seafood preferred
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude
