Job Description
We're offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a
Commis Chef
, where you will receive training, support, and development from chefs with
global experience and a deep passion for local cuisine
. All roles in our Mercure Melbourne Doncaster kitchen are collaborative and designed to foster team engagement and creativity. Furthermore, you'll gain valuable experience across
three different kitchens
, each offering a unique style and cuisine

Qualifications

• Recognised culinary training and employment experience.
• Commercial cookery certification; Safe Food Handling or Supervisor certificate is preferred.
• A passionate person with raw talent and a drive to grow.
• Openness to feedback and willingness to experiment with new ideas.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
• Clear and articulate communication skills.
• Flexible availability to work across mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
