We are seeking a Category Manager to lead a supplier transition and stakeholder engagement across hospital and healthcare sites. This role offers the opportunity to combine commercial delivery with meaningful operational impact — ensuring service continuity and supporting sustainability outcomes in essential facilities management categories.
About the Role
You will act as the on-the-ground procurement and transition lead, partnering with hospital and site stakeholders to deliver a major supplier change across multiple sites within the region. This role is hands-on, visible, and relationship-driven - ideal for a candidate who enjoys working close to operations while representing Group Procurement at a state level.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating supplier transition activities across multiple sites.
- Building strong relationships with site managers, operational leaders, and suppliers.
- Managing communication, change management, and post-go-live support.
- Acting as the regional representative for Group Procurement, ensuring alignment to strategy.
- Supporting cost-out, service improvement, and ESG objectives.
The Ideal Candidate
You are commercially astute, adaptable, and confident working in complex operational environments. You thrive on variety, enjoy stakeholder engagement, and have a strong sense of ownership over delivery outcomes.
You will bring:
- Procurement or category management experience across facilities, FM, or waste services.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading supplier transitions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across senior and operational audiences.
- Excellent communication and change management skills.
- A valid driver's licence and flexibility to travel to sites when required.
- (Experience within healthcare or highly regulated environments is advantageous but not essential.)
