We're seeking a compassionate and adaptable female Disability Support Worker to assist a young adult living with chronic pain in the Nerang (Gold Coast) area. This is a casual, flexible role ideal for someone with a calm, grounded approach who enjoys providing meaningful one-on-one support.

You'll help maintain comfort, independence, and daily routine while offering gentle encouragement and practical assistance. Each day may look different, depending on the participant's energy, pain levels, and needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respectful and person-centred support within the home
  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Support safe medication handling and routine management
  • Household cleaning, tidying, and meal preparation
  • Offer calm, empathetic support during periods of pain or fatigue
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, including via electronic messages when preferred
  • Assist with online ordering and small administrative or creative tasks
  • Care for household pets as needed
  • Maintain a scent-free environment and respect household preferences (no shoes indoors)
  • Adapt flexibly to changing daily support requirements

About You
  • Female, aged 20–40
  • Experienced in disability support or community care
  • Confident with medication handling and aware of chronic pain management needs
  • Calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent
  • Local to the Gold Coast (Nerang and surrounding suburbs)
  • Comfortable around pets and relaxed home settings
  • Reliable, health-minded, and scent-free (no strong perfumes)
  • Flexible and able to adjust to varying daily needs

  • Holds or is willing to obtain:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Full comprehensive car insurance
  • Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's licence
