If you are someone who enjoys talking about poles and wires in any shape of form (be it the Rail Sector or the Distribution and Transmission Sector), this means you are amongest the few people in Australia that can form part of the renewable energy market. We need someone urgently with experience in Project and Design Management.
A typical design project we deliver includes the following elements which we assume you will have direct experience in your past work:
1) LV distribution or HV transmission overhead line design scope having 2-3 teams interfacing with each other, some may be in Victoria and some across Australia
2) Managing interface between civil/ structural and electrical engineers
3) Talking to drafters and detailers to assess when drawings may be available for reviews by the Engineers
4) Making sure reviews are conducted on time and there is no mismatch of information transfer to the Client
5) Making sure all design documentation is carried out with good technical quality and word documents are prepared with no AI content (absolutely no AI or chatgpt content)
6) Making sure all progress reports and invoicing are carried out on time
7) Raise safety risks and any design risks with the team by leading and managing the required safety in design workshops
8) Prepare for Client meetings before the meeting and make sure minutes are distributed after the meeting to record all discussions

This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Manager based in Melbourne, VIC (preferably Southeastern Suburbs as thats where we are).
Classic role definition
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing transmission and distribution projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Duties include developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing stakeholder communication, monitoring project progress, and addressing any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Design Management skills (preferred)
- Experience in the wider power market is a plus especially in low voltage distribution and high voltage transmission projects
- Project Management skills
- Inspection and Logistics Management skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to work in Melbourne, VIC (Office based in Southeastern suburbs)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
