The Opportunity
Bhagwan Marine is looking for an experienced Yard Foreperson in Karratha. The right candidate will need to be available to work full days Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday work. Please note, this is not a FIFO position.
Responsibilities
- Support Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator with daily yard and asset operations in the North West.
- Promote safe work practices and a strong safety culture.
- Maintain yard cleanliness and hygiene.
- Perform rigging/crane tasks aligned with High-Risk Licence.
- Participate in safety and hazard inspections.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Receipt and inspect purchased items; manage non-conforming products.
- Oversee inventory, stock transfers, and warehouse housekeeping.
- Maintain yard machinery and equipment.
- Consolidate and dispatch consignments efficiently.
- Conduct stocktakes and manage shelf-life items.
- Ensure Dangerous Goods compliance and secure dispatch.
- Restrict unauthorised access to work areas.
Requirements:
- 1 year experience working within Stores or Warehousing.
- MR Driver's licence or higher.
- LF Forklift licence.
- CV Crane Operator Licence desirable.
- Dogging and Rigging Licence desirable.
- MSIC desirable.
- MS Office literacy and proficiency including Word and Excel.
- Organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Australian working rights.
