The Grade Two Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision of VPRS Services within a designated clinical caseload, appropriate to their level of experience and competency. Grade Two level Occupational Therapist are required to display autonomy of practice, whilst also contributing constructively to the interdisciplinary team.

This position is based within the multidisciplinary Outpatient Rehabilitation Services (OPRS) program. Hours and scheduling are open for discussion, shifts can be inclusive of hours rostered between 8:00am and 5.30pm. OPRS delivers services from the Clinical Service Campus and the Stewart Cowen site at Eaglehawk; staff may be rostered across both sites however, it is noted that paediatric staff are best suited to working from the new paediatric area of the Clinical Services Campus.
The Bendigo VPRS team are operationally managed by OPRS and there is an expectation that the successful applicant will work well alongside other OPRS clinics. VPRS is a state-wide paediatric service, so the successful applicant will work within OPRS AND align their practice to a state-wide model of care (VPRS).
VICTORIAN PAEDIATRIC REHABILITATION SERVICE (VPRS):
VPRS is a state wide service, offered as an outpatient service which caters for complex rehabilitation needs of children and adolescents recovering from major injury, illness and elective procedures.
The VPRS utilises a child and adolescent-specific, interdisciplinary care model according to best practice; with a focus on the transition from hospital to community and home-based services.
You will work closely with the skilled VPRS team which includes the following disciplines: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Exercise Physiology, AHA & the VPRS Regional Coordinator.
Working in the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service offers unique opportunities for:

Your New Division
The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute, cancer and mental health services. We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women's and Children's, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services.

The Cancer Centre offers medical oncology, radiation oncology, specialist nurses, clinical trials and cancer research, palliative care, and a Cancer Wellness Program.
The Mental Health Service provides psychiatric care and treatment across a large catchment covering the Loddon Mallee region. Family sensitive practice is central to our models of mental health care and best practice ensures the identification, inclusion and support of families, carers and children.
Each year our onsite Specialist Clinics provide over 100,000 service events, we also see more than 60,000 people in our Emergency Department and welcome around 1700 babies into the world. The Clinical Operations Division assists with the admission of more than 50,000 patients into the hospital each year.
