We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer/ Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong recent experience in developing and delivering interior packages on medium to large-scale healthcare projects.

DesignInc is an award-winning architecture practice combining a holistic approach to the built environment with expert knowledge in education, health, community, workplace, residential and urban design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Senior Architects and Interior Designers as part of a large team, working closely with a broader project team of design consultants and construction partners

  • Attend and support project leadership in the preparation and delivery of presentations within interactive design and user group workshops

  • Produce design documentation across all project phases, from concept through to detailed construction documentation

  • Curate the selection of materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures

  • Contribute to project delivery, including managing RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, conducting site visits, and participating in inspections

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants and suppliers as required

  • Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to financial constraints

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, offering feedback and support

About You

In this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Interior Design Degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 12 + years of industry experience

  • Demonstrated project experience in the Health, Education, Community and Commercial sectors

  • Ability to coordinate and lead internal project teams and external consultant teams

  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

  • Strong understanding of Australian standards and National Construction Code

  • Excellent Software skills: REVIT, Enscape, dRofus, 3D modelling apps, Adobe Creative Suite

  • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines and project milestones including managing competing priorities

  • Experience in building and managing effective client relationships and expectations
