About the role

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Bakery Shop Assistant to join our team at Dardanup Bakery in Dardanup, WA. This is a casual position, offering flexible hours . As a Bakery Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our popular bakery shop.

What you'll be doing

1. Greeting and assisting customers with a warm and friendly demeanour
2. Providing expert advice on our range of freshly baked goods and other products
3. Handling cash and operating the point-of-sale system efficiently
4. Stocking and replenishing shelves to maintain a tidy and well-presented shop
5. Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food safety throughout the bakery shop
6. Supporting the bakery team as needed with various tasks

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or hospitality role, preferably in a bakery or food service environment
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service
3. Good numeracy skills and the ability to work accurately with cash handling
4. A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation
5. Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
6. A friendly, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
7. Someone who can work with less supervision in a fast-paced environment. Able to think for themselves.
8. Barista Experience and Skills essential. Training provided for the right applicant.
