We have over 60 years of manufacturing expertise across a vast range of cables covering Automotive, Building, Switchboard, Mining, Irrigation and specialised sectors for the Australian and International markets.
About the Opportunity
The Engineering Cadetship provides recently qualified engineers an opportunity to learn our business from the ground up and over time move into a leadership position in our organisation. As part of this process, you will be moved into difference engineering sections of our operations to build technical competence. In addition to your line manager you will be assigned a mentor to help you develop throughout the cadetship.
Candidates must have graduated within the last 1 year to be eligible for this cadetship programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake various engineering activities across all areas of the Tyree Cable operations
- Undertake structured development provided by the organisation and your mentor
Qualifications and attributes for success
- Strong interest in understanding manufacturing processes and equipment
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Bachelor's degree must be in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrated capacity for leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
