Financial Accountant

The Club

We're looking for an ambitious financial accountant to join Northern Golf Club, a high-profile, not for profit, sporting organisation located in Glenroy just 20 minutes from the CBD.

You will be joining a small admin team that thrives on attitude. You'll play a key role in all finance operations including payroll, reporting and business partnering and compliance.

The Role

• Driving the month-end process - balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance and fixed assets
• Managing member invoicing and asscociated inquiries
• Preparing monthly cash flow forecasts, BAS, annual budgets and other compliance requirements
• Managing payroll processes (Deputy & Xero), including reconciliations and statutory obligations
• Providing financial guidance to Board Members, ensuring best practice processes and controls
• Managing annual audits, statutory accounts and ad-hoc finance projects

Your Profile

• Accounting degree and professional qualification (CA/CPA - completed or in progress)
• 5+ years' experience in a similar role
• Solid Excel, Xero and accounting system skills (MiMembership experience desirable)
• A problem-solver with a proactive, collaborative and organised approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Someone who is proactive, takes ownership and meets deadlines.
