Our team of researchers lead key internationally competitive research from molecules to medicines, from patient to policy across a range of therapeutic areas.

We are seeking to hire a Biostatistician for a 12-month position. The successful candidate will apply statistical principles to molecular biology, biological experiments, and human studies, working with both sparse data and large datasets.

While the primary focus of this position is applied statistics, there will also be opportunities to engage in scientific research; however, this is not the main responsibility associated with the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• design and apply statistical principles and techniques for data collection
• organise and interpret quantitative data
• utilise statistical methodologies to produce comprehensive reports and analyses
• develop computationally efficient and reproducible statistical analyses
• create high-quality data visualizations
• coordinate projects involving researchers and professionals from diverse educational backgrounds.

About you

• have a strong background in statistics and mathematics as applied to medicine and biology. The ideal candidate holds a doctoral degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, etc.).
• experience with data analysis in biological or clinical contexts.
• proficient in programming languages, specifically Python and R, with additional experience in C++ being preferable.
• experience in Bash scripting.
• excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• maintain a positive attitude toward collaboration and self-directed learning.
