About the RoleAs Plumbing Coordinator, you'll take a hands-on leadership role, overseeing plumbers and contractors, managing daily operations, and ensuring all work meets safety, compliance, and quality standards.
This role involves working across multiple client sites in metropolitan and regional Victoria, participating in a management on-call roster. Flexibility, proactive leadership, and leading by example are essential.
What You'll Do- Lead and coordinate plumbers and contractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Assign daily tasks, provide operational support, and drive team performance.
- Conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and correct use of PPE and equipment.
- Carry out site inspections and prepare plumbing quotes for client approval.
- Assist the Operations Manager with job scheduling, workflow planning, and Work in Progress (WIP) reporting.
- Manage ordering of plumbing materials and services and handle purchase orders and invoices.
- Use A-Grade's systems to monitor job progress, maintain accurate records, and provide timely project updates.
- Ensure all plumbing compliance certificates are completed and uploaded to relevant systems.
- Inspect worksites to verify quality and escalate issues as necessary.
- Enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards, conducting audits and risk assessments.
- Perform audits on Job Safety Analysis and Pre-Start Checklists to confirm compliance.
- Maintain the Works Plant Register.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance team efficiency, safety, and project delivery.
- Qualified and Registered Plumber
- Minimum 1-2 years of team leadership experience in a plumbing environment
- Experience in maintenance and commercial plumbing highly desirable
- White Card and valid driver's license for site travel
- Strong knowledge of OH&S and risk management
- Tech-savvy with experience in systems like Fergus (or similar) & Microsoft Office
- Excellent communicator, able to keep clients and internal teams aligned and informed
