Aldinga, Australia Cardijn College Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

OSHC Educator

Part Time (15 Hours Per Week)

ESO Grade 2

About Cardijn

Cardijn College is a dynamic R–12 co-educational Catholic school in Adelaide's Southern Vales, inspired by the Marist tradition and the vision of Cardinal Joseph Cardijn and St Marcellin Champagnat. With over 2,300 students across three campuses—Marian (Years 7–12), Marcellin (vocational Years 10–12+), and Galilee (Reception–Year 9)—we offer diverse learning pathways, industry partnerships, and a strong sense of community.

About the Role

We're seeking a compassionate and committed OSHC Educator to join our vibrant Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families within a welcoming Catholic school environment.

As an OSHC Educator, you'll play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of developmentally appropriate programs that nurture each child's growth, wellbeing, and sense of belonging. You'll work closely with children from diverse backgrounds, including those with additional needs, and help foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging space where every child is supported to thrive.

You'll be responsible for observing and documenting children's development, assisting with personal care routines, and implementing positive behaviour guidance strategies. Your role will also include general administrative tasks such as managing enquiries, maintaining records, and supporting excursion planning. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and school staff to uphold the values and standards of our Catholic ethos and the National Quality Framework.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is committed to upholding and actively contributing to the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Has experience working with children in OSHC or similar settings, with a strong ability to supervise and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrates empathy and understanding when working with children with special needs (experience highly desirable).
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, and can take direction from senior staff to support a cohesive team dynamic.
  • Is confident in applying well-developed skills to a variety of predictable and occasional unpredictable situations.
  • Has sound knowledge and initiative to perform a wide range of duties with minimal instruction, while seeking guidance when needed.
  • Is competent in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and managing administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Can work independently and responsibly with individuals and groups of students, supporting structured educational programs.
  • Is organised, adaptable, and able to exercise discretion and judgement in new or challenging situations.
  • Applies safe work practices consistently and uses appropriate PPE.
  • Understands professional boundaries and maintains confidentiality at all times.
  • Has the physical fitness to actively participate in games and play activities, and safely manage equipment setup and pack-down.
  • Holds Continence Care training (highly desirable).
  • Remains calm and responsive in emergencies or unexpected situations.
  • Is enthusiastic about participating in school and OSHC events, meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.

This is more than a job—it's a chance to grow, learn, and contribute to a nurturing community that values every child and every team member.
