About the role

We are seeking experienced Adult Speech Pathologists for permanent roles in Melbourne's southern region. In this role, you'll deliver best-practice, client-centred, evidence-based therapy services to adults with disabilities, by supporting them with communication, mealtime safety, and overall health and wellbeing, to achieve their goals and participate meaningfully in their communities.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Conducting clinical assessment of communication or a person's swallowing in their home or community settings.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve client goals.
  • Delivering therapy at home, in educational/vocational settings, or the community within a manageable range. Mileage can be claimed, subject to the NDIS cap of 30 minutes, with Yooralla ensuring client locations are within this range to support your workflow.
  • Working with the person, their family and supports to achieve their clinical goals within their community.

About You

You're an enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with:

  • A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) registration.
  • Experience working in a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with clients and families.
  • A commitment to professional growth, clinical excellence and self-reflection.
  • Competence with IT systems, especially client management platforms.
  • A valid Australian driver's license and own vehicle for travel across Melbourne's Southern Region.
