What you'll be doingWhere you'll be workingLocation
  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Advanced trainee having completed specialist training exams awaiting fellowship (FANZCA) wanting to consolidate rural practice before finishingtraining. An interest in regional and rural practice would be an advantage.
  • Evidence, after full registration, of no less than five (5) years in practice of medicine in New South Wales Health or in any other organisation deemed by the LHD to be equivalent standing, inclusive of no less than three (3) years in supervised specialist training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education relevant to the area of practice and a willingness to commit to an equitable hospital on-call roster.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health services colleagues as part of a multi disciplinary health care team and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and staff and to work as an effective member of a clinical team.
  • Willingness to teach medical students and other staff of the hospital when reasonably requested with demonstrated understanding of and commitment to clinical quality improvement and peer review, equal employment opportunity, and Occupational Health Safety and Rehabilitation.
  • Demonstrated significant experience relevant to nominated specialty practice and evidence of competence in skills relevant to Australian rural hospital practice, including trauma and emergency scenarios.
