About Us
For 30 years, Monash College has provided over 100,000 students with a direct pathway to Monash University, one of the world's top 50 universities, through Diplomas, Foundation Year, and English programs. As a fully owned subsidiary of Monash University, the College serves as the principal gateway to the University for students.
About your next role
As a Senior Learning Experience Designer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Monash College's digital learning capabilities. Working across the College, you'll lead and contribute to strategic initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deliver impactful learning experiences. Your work will align closely with the Monash College Strategy and Education Plan, ensuring our teaching and learning practices remain innovative, effective, and future-focused.
In this role, you'll partner with curriculum and digital learning specialists to implement key initiatives across a number of frameworks within the Monash College Education Plan. Your insights will help shape critical decisions that influence the College's educational direction and enhance the student learning journey.
This is an exciting short-term opportunity to take a leading role in both learning experience design and the development of high-quality digital learning resources. Drawing on your expertise in evidence-based design practices, you'll recommend and implement approaches that elevate the quality and impact of our digital learning experiences.
You bring a strong foundation in learning theories, digital pedagogy, and the effective use of learning technologies. Just as importantly, you're a collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset - someone who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and is committed to achieving shared goals.
We are looking for someone who has:
  • A Bachelor or Postgraduate degree in Education, Design or equivalent plus relevant work experience
  • Specialist knowledge and expertise in learning experience design and digital learning
  • Well-developed knowledge of learning theories, methods and practices as they relate to digital learning and the use of learning technologies
  • Extensive experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to co-design and develop digital learning experiences for new education products
  • Proven ability to enhance and improve digital learning experiences of existing educational products
  • Extensive experience using Learning Management Systems (preferably Moodle), educational technologies and digital design technologies to create engaging and effective digital learning experiences
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement processes

Monash College is committed to enabling and recruiting for a flexible and inclusive working environment. We encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every single criterion for this role. You might still be the right candidate for this role or a great fit for another role at the College.
Should you require any specific support or adjustments throughout the recruitment process and beyond, please advise us, and we'll be happy to assist.
