HR Truck Driver

As a HR Truck driver at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you'll be responsible for carting of bagasse, ensuring its efficient transportation to designated areas following sugarcane processing. Additionally, the position requires loading the sugar train with bagasse or sugar products, facilitating their distribution or further processing and other mobile plant operations.

This position is for the 2025 Crushing Season at Invicta Mill, where the roles operate on a 12-hour rotating shift which runs from June until late December. The position will be based in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work.

Your Role in Action

• Bagasse Carting
• Loading the sugar train
• Operating other mobile plant as required
• Completion of check sheets, service, and cleaning of equipment
• Reporting of equipment faults and damage/incidents
• General Mill Worker duties ie. Assists digging chokes, cleaning, assisting tradesmen etc.
• Carry out other duties as required by Supervisor.

Your Winning Combination

You will be the perfect fit for this role if you hold a valid manual 'HR' and 'C' class driver's license, and ideally, possess a current Loader ticket, though this is not essential. You should be comfortable with a 'lifestyle' type rotating roster, which may include overtime opportunities. A strong commitment to safety, both for yourself and others, is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively, including the use of two-way radios. You should be capable of providing regular, accurate feedback on tasks and progress, and be adaptable to change, including ongoing training. The right candidates will also be offered nationally recognized Confined Space and Working at Heights training.
