Reporting into the Program Director, this Solution Architect will be responsible for leading solution design and ensuring architectural alignment across multiple complex programs. On a monthly basis, you will develop and deliver architectural artefacts including conceptual, high-level and 'as built' designs. Weekly, you will engage with program leadership, vendors, and enterprise architecture stakeholders to drive architectural conversations and ensure compliance with frameworks and governance. On a daily basis, you will provide architectural advice, capture requirements, and act as the central point of coordination for all technical input.

This role has high impact across the healthcare system. You will ensure that solutions align with enterprise standards, mitigate risk, and enable better outcomes for clinical services and community programs. You will contribute to broader ICT services including strategy development, roadmaps and maturity assessments, while advocating for the business with technical stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide architectural advice to program leadership and key stakeholders in support of healthcare service delivery.
  • Capture, analyse and present technology requirements for program initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver architectural strategies and artefacts across concept, high level and 'as built' phases.
  • Drive compliance with enterprise frameworks, standards and governance requirements.
  • Act as primary liaison between business needs and technical stakeholders.
  • Direct and assure the work of vendors, ensuring solutions align to whole-of-system objectives.
  • Provide regular reporting, including risk assessment from an architectural perspective.
  • Contribute to ICT services including maturity assessments, roadmaps and strategy development.

Candidate Profile

You are an experienced Solution Architect with a track record of leading architecture in large, complex environments. Ideally, you bring experience from healthcare, government or enterprise-scale transformation projects. You combine strong stakeholder engagement with critical thinking and problem-solving ability, enabling you to navigate complexity with confidence. With excellent communication and presentation skills, you translate business needs into actionable architecture and influence diverse technical and non-technical groups. Your documentation and writing skills ensure clarity and precision in delivering architectural artefacts.
