Home Nursing Group (HNG) by Healthcare Australia are seeking experienced General Support Worker's in Tamworth, Armidale, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Taree, Forster and surrounding areas to provide in-home care to our clients on a permanent part-time or casual basis. For casual positions, there may be option to transition to permanent part time within 6 months. This role involves social support, shopping services, domestic duties and other tasks as directed.

About the role:

As a General Support Worker, you will be required to provide assistance to elderly clients living at home, through the promotion of independence and choice. The role reports through to the Care and Support Coordinator and will suit someone with a caring nature and genuine desire to support our clients to live independently in the community. You will deliver high-quality assistance to clients using a person-centered approach.

A successful candidate will maintain compliance with standards, and adhere to organisational policies and procedures whilst promoting the core values of Home Nursing Group and Healthcare Australia.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Current national police check,
  • First aid & CPR certificate,
  • Driver's licence,
  • Registered and comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes,
  • Evidence of influenza and COVID vaccinations
  • Right to Work in Australia - evidence will be required

You will also have a passion for supporting older people and respect what they have achieved in their lives. You will be motivated by helping them to stay at home as long as they can and support them to live the lives they want.
