About UsPosition OverviewKey Responsibilities
  • Conduct and coordinate strategic planning projects, studies, and research to enhance land use planning and policy development.
  • Prepare amendments to the Bundaberg Regional Council Planning Scheme and contribute to other strategic plans and guidelines.
  • Review and maintain Council's planning instruments and undertake necessary administrative functions under the Planning Act 2016.
  • Consult with Council and stakeholders on strategic planning issues and represent Council's interests in relevant forums.
  • Provide strategic and policy advice on planning applications and land use proposals.
  • Compile professional planning reports for Council and stakeholder review.
  • Perform other strategic planning tasks as required, including support during staff absences.
About You
  • Tertiary Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field.
  • Full membership of the Planning Institute of Australia; Registered Planner status is highly desirable.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Desired: Experience in local government planning or development assessment teams.
  • Desired: Proven experience in strategic planning and planning scheme drafting.
