Role Details
In this hands-on role, working closely with engineers, suppliers and internal teams, you'll deliver service, maintenance, installations, and repairs for a wide range of technologies within the packaging industry, from carton erectors, to robotics including PLCs, servo drives, conveyors, and other mechanical components. You'll work across multiple customer sites, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure machinery reliability and efficiency while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the National Service Manager , in this completely autonomous role, you will:

  • Spend time on projects - commissioning new machinery, managing obsolescence and technology upgrades / updates
  • Deliver operator and maintenance training
  • Interpret AutoCAD schematics and technical manuals to provide technical advice and recommend system efficiencies and improvements
  • Meet customer satisfaction and Visy operational KPIs through outstanding customer service delivery

What You Will Bring

  • Current A Grade Electrical Licence
  • Solid post-trade experience in field service, maintenance, or installation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; experience with SEW AC/DC drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics highly regarded
  • Proficiency with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron), touchscreen interfaces, and robotics programming / mods
  • Experience reading and interpreting AutoCAD circuit and mechanical diagrams
