Boongalla Group are a leading restoration, construction & building maintenance company with an office in Benalla, servicing areas in northern Victoria. We are looking to add an experienced full time Carpenter to join our rapidly growing business.
About YouAs the successful applicant, you will form part of a varied team of trades who are responsible for restoration and reinstatement of commercial properties. This role includes working across multiple worksites and includes coordinating with customers. Your key duties will include:
- General carpentry works: construct, erect, install, renovate and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard and other materials, and cut, shape and fit timber parts to form structures and fittings.
- Liaise with internal office staff, project managers & external clients
- Adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements such as OHS legislation and risk management, assessing hazardous components of each project as required.
- Timely completion of administrational duties such as site diaries and compliance requirements
- General manual labour duties including lifting and frequent driving
- Work away from home on occasion
- Work a rotating on-call roster, including afterhours shifts

Key Selection Criteria:- Experience in commercial carpentry including competency reading plans
- Excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills are essential
- Attention to detail and adherence to administrational requirements
- Willing to travel for work, able to respond to after hours / weekend work, and participate in a regular On Call roster.
- Professionalism, with a strong work ethic and proactive nature
- Must have a 'can do' approach and strong work ethics with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes as our business continues to grow.
- Qualified Carpenter (Certificate III Carpentry) minimum
- Current Drivers Licence and Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Have a current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willing to obtain one)
- EWP and/or WAH tickets highly desirable
