A great opportunity exists for an experienced Network Engineer to join a dynamic technology team within a leading Australian organisation. This role suits someone who enjoys broad technical exposure, a mix of projects and BAU work, and contributing to a stable, secure, and high performing ITS environment.

About the Role

You will provide support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of core infrastructure systems while delivering key ITS and business projects. Working within a small team, you'll ensure reliable and secure operations, assist colleagues as a technical escalation point, and contribute to ongoing modernisation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide BAU infrastructure support aligned to SLAs.
  • Deliver ITS Infrastructure and business projects through governance processes.
  • Design and implement secure network, voice, and cloud solutions.
  • Drive root-cause analysis for recurring issues and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Perform DR testing and follow change management requirements.
  • Manage vendors and ensure effective support delivery.
  • Support capacity planning and technology selection across infrastructure domains.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong technical experience across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking, voice systems, wireless, and firewalls/IDS/IPS.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies and cloud services (SaaS, IaaS).
  • Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and security technologies.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and project delivery frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Minimum 5 years' ITS experience and Cisco certification (or equivalent).
  • Must be able to travel to the South East of Melbourne and interstate
